the location is superb in district 1 with everything within walking distance. don't let the lobby put you off as once you get to the room it's great - at least the the super deluxe double i stayed in. it's facing the road with a small balcony but the street noise is not disturbing. if you are from the countryside and believe that it should be quite in a city you might think differently though and prefer a room in the interior of the hotel. the breakfast room on the 7th floor is very airy and has nice views. the breakfast is good. the people working at the hotel are all very friendly and professional and i did not experience any of the hassle that seem to be so common in this city. even the taxi (vinasun) ride from the airport and for business visits around the city was without challenges. with the rate i paid i will definitely pick this hotel again for my next visit.

we stay for 3 nights during chinese new year - and another night after a cruise. the best thing is the location district 1. short walk to the river and just around the corner from the main festivities and displays that were happening during the week long celebrations. we paid a lil extra for the room with a balcony and given the time of year it was great to be ablke to watch the goings on. so many dragon dances, both in our hotel and the surrounding ones. the service was good however we did not eat here – so many choices around that area – the beer house next door is a great spot for a drink and has good value great tasting meals as well.
